Mustard Festival – Napa Valley

The Mustard Festival kicked off on January 30, 2010 at the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, Napa Valley. I took a day trip to the valley on January 31, 2010 and found the wild mustard was in bloom already.
I drove along Highway 29 and the Silverado Trail for a while to scope out photo ops. Criss-crossing all the roads between the two major arteries is highly recommended.
I found this spot along one of the side roads and used a circular polarizer as well as a 3 f-stop soft graduated natural density filter to gain good contrast.
